Sub-internal Limiting Membrane Cavity Following Valsalva Retinopathy Resembling Central Serous Chorioretinopathy

چکیده
A 23‐year‐old male presented with a history of sudden onset painless diminution of vision in the left eye (LE) following bouts of vomiting 4 months ago. His vision had gradually improved over the previous 2 months. There was no history of steroid use. Visual acuity was 20/20 in both eyes. There was no intraocular inflammation. An oblique oval lesion measuring 5 × 4 disc diameters was observed at the posterior pole of the LE. On slit lamp biomicroscopy, it appeared to be an elevated neurosensory retina [Figure 1a]. There were no evident retinal vascular abnormalities or retinal neovascularization. The fundus fluorescein angiogram (FFA) showed subtle window defects at the lesion site, with blockage of fluorescence in the temporal and inferior margins [Figure 1b]. The areas of blocked fluorescence correlated with subtle preretinal brownish pigments [Figure 1a]. No leakage or pooling of dye consistent with central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR) was evident. متن کاملPersistent unsealed internal limiting membrane after Nd:YAG laser treatment for valsalva retinopathy
BACKGROUND To report a long-term complication of unsealed and un-reattached internal limiting membrane in Valsalva retinopathy after neodymium-doped yttrium-aluminium-garnet (Nd:YAG) laser membranotomy. CASE PRESENTATION A 41-year-old man presenting with a massive premacular hemorrhage due to Valsalva retinopathy underwent Nd:YAG laser membranotomy. During follow-up, best-corrected visual acu...

To report a case of a patient with Valsalva retinopathy that developed sub-internal limiting membrane hemorrhage, underwent pars plana vitrectomy and had visual acuity improvement after that. A 35-year-old healthy patient presented with sudden and painless vision loss of her right eye, after coughing. During the ophthalmologic evaluation, she had a pre-macular hemorrhage and no other abnormalit...
متن کاملRelationship of chromatic visual-evoked potentials and the changes of foveal photoreceptor layer in central serous chorioretinopathy patients.
PURPOSE To investigate the relative involvement of chromatic and achromatic visual subsystems in central serous chorioretinopathy, and to correlate the function changes with the changes of the foveal photoreceptor layer using Fourier domain optical coherence tomography (FD-OCT). METHODS Central serous chorioretinopathy patients and control subjects were tested and compared. Equiluminant Chrom...

PURPOSE To evaluate the morphological changes in retinal microstructures following modified photodynamic therapy (PDT) for chronic central serous chorioretinopathy. SUBJECTS AND METHODS Retrospective study of 21 consecutive eyes (age, 59±8.0 years [mean ± SD]) of 21 patients with chronic central serous chorioretinopathy. Inner foveal thickness (the distance between the internal limiting membr...
